I have been an avid gardener
and plant lover all my life, and have
grown and propagated all types and categories of plants that I could get my
hands on, from vegetables to cacti to roses.
My college education centered around agricultural
crops, with much emphasis on botany, plant physiology, chemistry, soil
science, and plant pests and diseases. Over the years since then, I
have been a homeowner and gardener in the Pacific Northwest and have
developed a great love of the many beautiful varieties of ornamental plants
available to us here. This love of plants combined with my interests in
design and art, have led to my natural evolution into the profession of
landscape designer.
In 2007 I became
an APLD Certified Landscape Designer after submitting my design work
to the APLD Certification Review Panel for evaluation. APLD Certification
provides professional recognition to landscape designers based on
established standards of excellence. For more information on APLD and its
Certification program for landscape designers you may visit their website at
www.apld.org.
I strive to make
each of my designs a unique collaboration between the clients, their spaces,
and the natural environment in their area. I love the process of discovering
just the right look and feel for each new garden, and of creating new living
areas that bring people out of the house to enjoy them.
I hope that you will come back to my website for
updates on seasonal featured plants and that you will contact me if you have
need of a landscape designer for your own outdoor spaces.
